National Muslim Conference of Ghana (NMCG) is a body corporate that serves as the Mouthpiece of all Muslims in Ghana and a forum for deliberations and participation of Muslims in the development of National Policies, Programmes and Legislations affecting the lives of Ghanaian Muslims in general.
It is also to provide direction to policy makers and external development partners on the developmental needs of Muslim Communities in Ghana.
Furthermore, NMC is to provide Standards, Guidelines and Certification for institutions and organisations operating in Ghana in the name of Islam and Muslims in order to augment the efforts of Government aimed at regulating the activities of internal and external Muslim organisations operating in Ghana and related matters for coherent national development.
It was established as a Non-Denominational Muslim Organisation by the Muslim Caucus of Parliament in collaboration with the National leadership of all Muslim Sects (Shia, Tijania Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ahlu-Sunnah and Ghana Muslim Mission) in Ghana under a Deed in September, 2021. It was subsequently incorporated by the Registrar General of Ghana under the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) of Ghana in December, 2021.
"The believer is a mirror to his faithful brother. He protects him against loss and defends him behind his back."
